Kick-off meeting "bottle neck". "bottle neck" is a transnational partnership project initiated by ZEMI and funded by the EU programme Leonardo da Vinci. The microsys Berlin is both a Fair and a Congress which has developed into one of the most important meeting places of leading experts in microsystems technology from research, development and production. With its renowned research institutions and modern technology companies, Berlin Adlershof – the City of Science, Technology and Media – forms the proper backdrop for this event. The microsys Berlin takes places March 07-08, 2007.

From September 18th until September 22nd the Center for Microsystems Technology (ZEMI) finished successfully its first Microsystems Summer School in Berlin. A continuation of the summer school with international orientation is planned for 2007.

During the first ZEMI Summer School a “Summer School meets Company” -evening takes places at 20.09.06 at the Courtyard Marriott Hotel Köpenick. It offers a platform for conversation between students and companies, research institutions and Universities, involved in Microsystems Technology.

The Center for Microsystems Technology (ZEMI) and the Institute of Agricultural Engineering Bornim (ATB) are starting a new network named EMiL. The aim of EMiL is the development of microsystems technology for innovative food production.
